Anna

Evening Light, Bamburgh

There's a real sense of place in your area that's reflected in your paintings.  A feeling of something ancient and bigger than ourselves.  One of the reasons I bought the Bamburgh Castle print was that when I first saw it, I caught my breath, it totally catches the atmosphere.  I couldn't stop looking at it.  Something about how you compose skies against the sea, it seems to bring the energy together somehow.

Now this bit will make you laugh.  At times after dark I go outside to look at the painting through the window.  It glows.  Really inspiring.

Sunset on the Rolling Hills original monotype

I found Rebecca’s work trawling Northumberland artists on the internet prior to visiting the area. Her images immediately attracted me with their vibrance and distinctive composition. On studying her methods I was amazed at the combination of different techniques and time consuming precision required to create her unique images.

4 framed etchings

Hello Rebecca, I first saw your work some time ago in an article published in the 'Country Living' magazine. I thought the amount of detail was amazing and the range of colours within the landscapes were stunning. I now have four fabulous pieces of artwork on my living room wall which I am delighted with. It is very likely that I will have to find room for more examples of your stunning work in the not to distant future.

Promised Land & Steward of the Valley framed giclee prints

I love the way these two prints work together in my living room. I like to think they tell the story of two souls looking out at each other from across the hills, each wondering about the other and not knowing that they're sharing the same thoughts. I traveled to Northumberland to visit Rebecca's studio and it was great to see all the different prints available, and Rebecca working on her new prints. She helped me go through what was available and work out what would fit my space best. It was great to be able to have the artists input, and I couldn't be more pleased with this diptych.

Evening Light Bamburgh

It arrived 10 minutes ago. My husband groaned at ‘yet another parcel’ - he didn’t know I’d ordered it. We unpacked it and it blew us both away. It’s a sensational painting and I knew that already but the colour scheme exactly fits our lounge, which I hadn’t realised! Thank you so much And I'm looking forward to your emails.

Guiding Light original monoype

I just wanted to let you know that Guiding Light looks absolutely amazing!! I’m completely and utterly delighted with it. My mum loves it and is already commenting on how nice it would look in the lounge so I think it’s going to be rotated from room to room. I’m going to be spending a lot of time staring at it. I can’t wait to see what you do next!

Silver Birch Autumn Gold etching framed

My husband and I came across one of Rebecca's etchings in the window of an art gallery, that literally drew us into the shop. We admired her work and seriously considered buying this print, but chickened out... We have never spent so much money on art before. We bought some cards instead, but I kept thinking we should probably buy something of hers eventually. This Christmas seemed like a good opportunity, and I have ordered a wonderful piece on line, that is currently hiding in our spare room still wrapped, ready to be given to my husband on Christmas Day. I'm beyond excited to see his face when he opens it... and then to have it in our home radiating its beauty, tranquility and sense of promise. It also feels kind of symbolic of where we are in life right now.

Star Gazers original monotype

The picture has arrived and it is up in our hall, it faces our front door and glass porch and it is the first thing you see when coming into the house. It creates a lovely sense of peace and calm and the non-reflective glass really works well there.

We have "Promised Land" and "Sunrise Landscape" in our lounge and "Beside the Sea" in our conservatory. We appreciate your work so much and send our thanks once again.
