Dance in Fields of Gold aims to capture the fleeting golden moment at the end of a summer’s day when the low light gild’s every flower and stem. I leave a patch of Rosebay Willowherb (aka Fireweed) in my garden so that I can draw it through the seasons as the graceful leafy stems begin to flower, opening from the bottom to the top and slowly turn to seedpods. I enjoyed painting the details of the flowers – how they contrasted with the more abstract background.
 
The acrylic paints were applied with rollers, palette knives, stencils and sponges in layers of colour. I added collage by cutting shapes from my own hand-painted sheets and gluing them with archival acrylic medium. The drawn lines are graphite or water-soluble crayons which are permanently fixed.

Framed option: The frame is solid oak, just beautiful natural wood 2cm (front) x 2cm (side). Black frame with similar dimensions also available. It has an acid free mount (flat mounted with window) and art glass for UV protection and greatly reduced reflections. Ready to hang with d-rings and string attached. Mounted option: It comes with an acid free mount (flat mounted with window) and backing board. Cellophane wrapped and carefully flat-packed in a strong cardboard box.
