The intersecting headlands in this piece evoke a place of mystery and suggest a way through to somewhere beyond. Whilst reminiscent of Scottish lochs and islands, it's an imaginative creation rather than a particular view. 
 
The original for this is a monotype, a unique printed painting. I use rollers and dabbers to spread out the ink then make marks with a cloth and other tools. There are several layers of colour working from light to dark. I use a series of paper stencils to give the crisp edges. 

This giclee reproduction print is made to the highest standards on high quality paper. The accuracy of colour to the original is first rate.
