Chasing the Light: flower paintings that glow
Sometimes a drift of flowers in sunlight can feel like a glimpse of paradise. In this post, I explore my ongoing fascination with flowers, colour, and light through a series of recent paintings and drawings. Discover the experiments, breakthroughs, and frustrations behind the work, and see how I'm exploring ways to create paintings that capture not just the appearance of flowers, but the joy and wonder they inspire.

Coast and Cliff: serene coastal art
A new collection of original monotype prints inspired by the coast and countryside, featuring layered textures, simplified forms, and a calm, atmospheric style. These works explore serene coastal art for living room spaces, evoking the feeling of sea air, open horizons, and peaceful shoreline walks. Created over three months using a layered printmaking process, each piece is unique, building depth through colour, texture, and composition.

Making Waves: Northumberland coast, seascape prints in progress
I’m midway through a new series of monotype prints inspired by the Northumberland coast, exploring Bamburgh and Lindisfarne castles. This post shares the work in progress, showing how layered stencils, careful registration, and light-to-dark tonal planning shape skies, seascapes, and foreground plants. I reveal the decisions, adjustments, and discoveries that guide each stage, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how the prints evolve.
