Poppies Bathed in Gold aims to capture the luminous stillness of late summer, when the last light of day wraps the garden in a golden haze. Inspired by the vibrant poppies that dance in our allotment, this painting radiates warmth and serenity. Layers of glowing colour and expressive mark-making evoke the fleeting beauty of flowers at dusk - a celebration of nature’s quiet splendour.

I used acrylic paints, inks, crayons and collage. I make my own collage papers by painting on lightweight sheets with layers of professional grade colour. After cutting out shapes with a knife, I glue the pieces onto a prepared wood panel using archival glue.

Available framed or unframed

Framed option: A bespoke dove grey floating frame adds style and emphasis. Other colours available - please enquire. 5mm gap between artwork and frame.

Unframed option: This painting can be hung directly on your wall. The edges of the panel are carefully painted to give a good finish from all angles. Supplied with a hook on the back.

Both options are suitable for international shipping.
