In Heatwave, I aimed to capture the intensity of a long, hot summer, with fiery oranges and reds glowing among the flowers and reeds beside the lake. The cool, refreshing water offers a welcome contrast, bringing a sense of calm and relief from the heat. Through bold colour and modern forms, I celebrate the beauty and energy of a sun-soaked summer landscape.
 
I used acrylic paints, inks, crayons and collage. I make my own collage papers by painting or printing on lightweight sheets with layers of professional grade colour which are glued onto a prepared wood panel. The surface is sealed with four layers of varnish with a satin finish.

Framed option: A bespoke oak or dove grey  floating frame adds style and emphasis. Other colours available - please enquire. 8mm gap between artwork and frame.
 
Unframed option: This painting can be hung directly on your wall. The edges of the panel are carefully painted to give a good finish from all angles. Supplied ready to hang with D-rings and picture cord.
