A new kid on the block...

In the Moonlight canvas print by Rebecca Vincent

What type of art would fit best in your home? These days, prints and frames come in a wide array of shapes and sizes. Modern technology means that all kinds of high quality prints are possible.

So I'm delighted to announce that I can supply canvas prints to complement my range of framed and mounted giclée prints. These can be ordered by getting in touch by phone or email.

I’ll be stocking a modest selection in my online shop soon for immediate dispatch but you can now order a canvas print of any of my giclée prints in a range of sizes.

I’ve photographed "In the Moonlight" as an example. The dimensions are 46 x 100 x 4 cm and the price is £265. When you order, the price will be similar for a similar size. Just get in touch with your preferences and I’ll provide a quote.

Canvas prints have a lot to offer:

  • A contemporary interior design look.

  • No reflections.

  • Available in larger sizes for real impact in your home. Great for statement pieces.

  • Strong and lightweight – canvas prints can be shipped internationally.

I know that you’ll have some questions about this type of reproduction print. Let’s see if I can answer some of them:

  • Is it limited edition? Yes – it will be part of the existing edition of 100

  • Will it be signed? Yes it will be signed and numbered on the back as there’s no discrete way to sign the front

  • Are the colours a good match to the original? Yes, just like my paper prints, the colours have been carefully matched to the original.

  • Will it stand the test of time? Yes, the canvas and inks are archival quality with a protective varnish (not shiny). The canvas is Innova Exhibition Matte Canvas 380gsm with pigment inks.

  • Will I lose some of the picture round the sides? No, the printer samples the image to create borders that match seamlessly with the front face.

  • How do I clean it? You can dust it with a soft clean cloth or wipe gently with a damp cloth.

  • How do I hang it on the wall? D rings and string will be attached just like for a regular picture. If it’s a large one you’ll need to put two picture hooks for stability.

  • How long will it take for me to receive my canvas print? Please allow around two weeks from the day of your order/payment to the delivery day.

  • Can canvas prints be framed? Yes, they can be framed without glass using a "floating frame". I'm going to look into this and post some pictures of how it looks so I can offer this as an option.

If I’ve missed anything out, please get in touch and ask – as ever I’ll be happy to answer your questions.

Whilst I’m on the topic of your print choices, I should let you know that you can order giclée prints in a range of sizes. The ones in my online shop are the actual size of the original but they can be made larger or smaller. It’s best not to overdo it but as a rough guide, a print can be a third as long again with no loss of quality eg a print that is 75 cm wide can be printed up to 100cm wide.

One final choice is glazing. In recent years, framers have started offering a much wider range of glazing options. The framed prints in my online shop and gallery have standard glass but the following options can be ordered:

  • Non-reflective glass – has very slight frosting

  • Art glass – anti-reflective and UV protected rather like modern spectacles.

  • Acrylic sheet – ideal for children’s rooms

  • Non-reflective acrylic sheet – useful for tricky situations.

Please allow 2 – 4 weeks for special orders depending on your requirements.

All prints are collected, checked, signed by me and packed carefully by my husband using a special system he’s devised. I’ll email you to let you know when to expect your order and the parcel will be tracked throughout its journey. As ever, you have a money back guarantee even on special orders.

What kind of print and frame do you prefer? What would suit your home?
